Pet Industry Facts

The American Pet Products Manufacturers Association Releases All Time High
2008 Pet Industry Spending Forecast of $43.4 Billion

A strong desire to protect the health of our pets and a surge in services is driving one of the country's fastest growing industries. New figures released by The American Pet Products Manufacturers Association (APPMA) forecast pet industry spending to top $43.4 billion.

In 2008, Americans' spending on pets is projected to be higher than ever at $43.4
billion. Total pet spending in 2006 was $41.2 billion, quite an increase from the $21
billion Americans spent over a decade ago in 1996.

Trends

Caring for one's pet's health is the most powerful trend across the industry with store
shelves being lined with a plethora of weight management foods, sports drinks,
energy treats, treatments and supplements, as well as an increase in organic and all
natural offerings. Pet insurance, veterinary care and pharmaceuticals are also strong
and continue to see healthy growth.

"People consider pets as part of the family and as health becomes a more pressing issue in
our country, people are putting extra thought and care into their pets' health as well,"
said
BobVetere, President of APPMA.

As the pet population continues to grow, Vetere sees no end in sight in the strength
of this industry. With baby boomers and young professionals turning to pet
ownership in record numbers, the outlook is for continued healthy growth for at least
the next 3-5 years and maybe longer.

According to the 2007-2008 National Pet Owners Survey, 63% of U.S. households own
a pet, which equates to 71.1 millions homes.

Pet Science

Animals fulfill many needs in our lives, whether they are working animals or pets living in our homes, their needs are important too. Domestication has resulted in lifestyles far removed from nature's original design. The result: veterinarians are seeing an increasing number of domesticated animals suffering from degenerative signs of aging.

As early as 1930, Dr. Francis Pottinger demonstrated the detrimental effects an artificial diet can have in cats. He postulated that the replacement of basic, natural nutrients had the potential to restore an animal's overall health to its optimum condition.

SomaPet is designed to rejuvenate your pet and improve its quality of life. This new and natural product has been developed to help reverse a known factor in mammalian aging, the decline in release of GH (Growth Hormone) after maturity. Growth Hormone is important not only during the early years but also in the ongoing maintenance of cellular well being.

Why give your animals SomaPet?
SomaPet is a specific combination of amino acids formulated to optimize the health of your pet. This specific combination, when taken orally, is designed to support the release of growth hormone from the pituitary which assists in cell repair and regeneration. Amino Acids are the building blocks of proteins and constitute a vital part of an animal's diet. SomaPet amino acids provide your animal with a vital supplement. This ensures an appropriate balance of amino acids particularly beneficial for animals over 3 years old exhibiting signs of aging.

The ultimate dietary supplement, SomaPet consists of a synergistic combination of free form L-amino acids designed to assist:

* Improved Immune Function
* Increased Healing
* Strengthened Collagen and Bone
* Improved Nervous Function
* Promoted Cellular Energy
* Minimized Exercise Damage

SomaPet is in a powder form and can be easily mixed with your animal's usual meal. Adding SomaPet as an important daily supplement will benefit any animal over three years old and they will love the flavor!

Pet Testimonials

Sumo Walker, 11 year old Rottweiler

Vet Examination Update:
Woof, woof I feel like such a stud. My owner took me to the vet for a minor problem and I was kinda nervous, but Dr. Cole was so nice, that I relaxed easily. At least until he started poking and prodding in places I don't even want to talk about. But the great news is, at least from my point of view, he said that I had the testicles of a six year old. They hadn't even begun to shrink at all. My owner, Cathy, seemed a little embarrassed by the conversation, but not me, no way, I felt great. Personally, I think they had shrunk, but the Soma Pet has worked on me enough to plump them back up again. Thank DOG that Cathy gives me this Soma Pet stuff every day.

Surgery:
Yuck! I had to have a cyst removed from my eye and Cathy took me to the vet without even telling me what was going on until it was too late. I thought I was going to have another visit with that nice Dr. Cole, which I did, but there was so much more. Drugs, tubes, scary things happening, and a period of time I don't even remember.
What I do remember is Cathy talking with one of nurses just before I went to sleep. I knew Cathy was curious about my blood test because of this Soma Pet stuff, so when she asked the nurse how my test turned out, I listened. I was groggy, but what the nurse said surprised even me. She said my blood test was good...then, she paused, frowned and said, "Actually, the blood test was strangely good."
At first I thought she said that I was strange (remember I was on drugs at that point), but then I realized she was talking about my test. Strangely good for such an old dog was the full sentence, I do believe. Who is she calling old? Humph! Certainly not me, I have tons of life left in me. Thanks to Soma Pet.

Now, if I could only get this stupid cone thing off my neck. Oh, the indignities I must bear.

Woof, woof, talk to you soon, Sumo Walker

"Fluffy is 20 years old and is my daughter's Persian cat...had always been active...last year she began to spend more and more time indoors and was less active than she had been. About 3 weeks ago she began to lose her balance when she got up from her naps. Her eyes got kind of glazed, and were not bright like they used to be. She was hardly eating at all and spent most of her time just dozing...she sometimes didn't quite get into the box to do her 'business'...I noticed the weaving and loss of balance...I quickly took out a Soma capsule and put some on a bit of food...I did this 3 times that day and have continued for the last 2 weeks. She now has eyes that are clear and focused, her litter box area is clean, she has asked to go outdoors...last night...ate only the portion with SomaPet sprinkled on it! And she did the same thing this morning...she actually jumped on my lap yesterday while I was working on the computer. She had been too weak to do that for ages now."

"My dog...a German Shepherd is 13 years old which is quite old for that breed. He has been having many health challenges throughout his life, including the canine version of MS, and some arthritis, and he survived 'bloat' in February. I put him on the Soma product not expecting very much at first. Last week we visited the Vet after 5 weeks on the product. The Vet was amazed to note that his ears were alert, his eyes clear, he had new muscle mass on his hind quarters, a swelling in his neck had gone down and his fur is like a puppy's. He is now is willing to go for walks and can climb the stairs without assistance again. So much progress in so short a time. We are so pleased."
